Padmashri Women from Mithila, Bihar

It is truly an honor to be in the company of Bihar’s pride—the courageous women from Mithila. Delighted to be alongside Padmashri Shanti Devi, Padmashri Dulari Devi, Padmashri Bauya Devi, Padmashri Shivan, and numerous National Artists from our Mithila region, all of whom are showcasing the rich tradition of folk singing.
Also had the pleasure of meeting former Minister O.P. Rai, whose passion for art and culture has significantly contributed to the flourishing of our heritage. It was inspiring to connect with Ashok Kumar Sinha, the Additional Director of the Bihar Museum, and Anjani Kumar, the former Secretary of the Bihar Government and now the Director of the Bihar Museum. Their dedication is instrumental in promoting our culture on a global scale.
Inspired by the work of Upendra Maharathi, my lifelong passion for art, culture, and heritage has driven me to explore ways to elevate our cultural narrative internationally. I envision a future where I will serve in Parliament, equipped with a deep understanding of our heritage and resources. My aim is to create opportunities for our artists, ensuring they have access to meaningful projects that not only enhance their livelihoods but also celebrate our rich traditions.
I’m committed to empowering the people of Bihar through my collaborations with organizations such as the Mithilanchal Chamber of Commerce and Industries”, “Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries”, NSIC, WICCI, G100, and Tejaswini Bharat. Together, we can forge pathways for growth and empowerment that will uplift our community and showcase the incredible talent of our artists on the global stage.
